Fender Artist Series Eric Clapton Stratocaster Electric Guitar Quick Review!

Looks: Like a Strat, great! Love The Torino Red Color!

Sounds: Unbelievable for blues, rock and modern country. The pickups are quiet which is a huge plus in all situations, but especially for recording. Most strats are pretty noisy.

Plays: Excellent. Really good action right out of the box, but I'd think most guitarists might like it a pinch lower, and it's easily adjustable if you want to.

Fantasy: Yes, I actually became Eric in my own mind for twenty minutes!

Impressed: Yes, most definitely!

$$: Moderately priced and excellent as far as price vs. performance.

Buy It? If you can get in at this point comfortably but the Fender Custom Shop models are going to have to remain a dream for a while then YES, BUY IT!

This guitar will set you back a bit but it's a quality instrument you'll surely find inspiring to play. Whip this baby out at the next gig and watch your bandmate's eyes. That mix of envy and admiration along with the knowledge you just went up a few notches on the totem pole might be enough to make it worth pulling the trigger on this deal.

Just about every full time studio guitarist in Nashville I've worked with has a Strat, they may carry several guitars to sessions but sooner or later out it comes and it never disappoints...what more can I say?

"This is hands down the very best guitar I've ever owned and I've owned dozens! I sold another Fender strat I owned simply because I no longer played it after I bought this Eric Clapton model. Regular Fender Strats are decent guitars but this thing is like having the new Cadillac after driving the '94 Toyota, no comparison really. I look forward to playing it so much, it's a hard guitar hard to put down!" John Walls 1-3-2011
